Screen Printing & DTG

Two different ways to put your artwork on apparel. Start with your design, garment and order quantity.

Screen Printing

Ink passes through a stencil for each print color. It is a useful starting point for bold logos and repeated designs on team, business or event orders.

  • Simple artwork and fewer spot colors can help control setup costs.
  • Each print location and color affects the production plan.
  • Fabric, ink and curing determine the finished feel and appearance.

DTG Printing

Direct-to-garment printing places a digital image directly onto the garment. It can suit detailed, full-color artwork and smaller runs.

  • Cotton and suitable cotton blends are common starting points.
  • Garment color and pretreatment can affect the result.
  • Check fine details and image quality at the actual print size.

Choose your print location

Tell us whether you want a left-chest, front, back or sleeve print, and give the intended artwork width in inches. Seams, pockets, zippers and garment size can limit the printable area. Placement shown in a digital proof is a visual guide; confirm the final dimensions with the team.

Screen printing, DTG or DTF?

A bold one-color logo and a photographic design may need different methods. Compare quantity, fabric, number of colors, print size and preferred feel rather than choosing by method name alone.

Before requesting a quote

  • Send the artwork and intended print width.
  • Include garment style, color, size breakdown and quantity.
  • List every print location and your required delivery date.
  • Review spelling, sizing, placement and colors in your proof.

Final method, artwork adjustments, price and turnaround depend on your specific order. L1 Print will confirm the production plan before you approve it.
